SOLAR

We install very efficient german ROTEX solar panel systems that can be linked  to traditional oil fired boilers or very efficient new gas condensing boilers. The panels shown in the slideshow above transfer heat to a 5x10M swimming pool, raising the temperature by approx 5° during May, June, July and August. 

 

WOOD BURNERS

For wood burners we use hargassner systems. Again these can also be linked to air-to-water heat pumps as well as used to heat pools on a timed or automatic feed basis.

 

GEOTHERMIC HEATING

We have completed 8 projects with geothermic heat pumps and are currently working on 2 others. We use bore holes, horizontal receptors or even rivers (for watermill conversions). For lower cost installations air-to-water heat pumps are used with underfloor heating.

I am currently working on a project in Senegal for a zero energy house.  A prototype is being built /finished at the moment and I am the concept architect. The client API homes have used a local team. The building self cools using humidity circulated via a 'stack effect'.  The house pulls warm air in at the base, across an artificial lagoon (under the building) and after beeing cooled circulates around the building.  Warm air is drawn out of the 'Chiminee" at the top
